St Kilda is an island in the Atlantic about 40 miles west of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides.
It was once inhabited, but the population abandoned their homes about 100 years ago when life became unsustainable.
Visiting St Kilda is not easy and landing there depends on weather and sea-state.
I have visited once and have vivid memories of the sea and rocks around the island.
