About:
I visited Italy three times and even resided in Sienna for two months in early 2019. During that time, I created a portfolio of paintings done on location. This was one of them. I set up my easel near a cafe in the middle of Florence, of course and painted the entire painting in an afternoon. There’s something uniquely special in painting something “live” as the lighting is quite a different effect than in other places. Perhaps an old-world light!
